Bray Lake Frost Bite Series Race 3
January 13 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Throughout the year we run a series of fun and friendly regular events. It’s a great way to keep fit and get out on the water. Everyone is welcome.
So what happens on a race day?
You’ll typically register and catch up with your fellow paddlers over a coffee or tea in the club house – In this case at 9am
1 Registration (from 09:00) – Please try and register in advance via our link (a discount is offered to incentivise you) or via a club or staff member with a clipboard or iPad in hand on the day. If you have to register on the day – Be prompt!
2 Briefing (around 9:30) – An overview of what will happen, such as what type of course there is suitable to the conditions, what board classes and starting sequence are going to be used.
3 Get on the water for the race – A flag maybe raised or whistle blown indicating the start of the starting sequence.
4 Racing – The start sequence begins, with a sound signal start and counting down to the start of the next class start. You then get around the course as quickly as you can, for as many laps as were announced at the briefing. That’s it!
5 Post race – As you go over the finish line you pat yourself on the back and share in the in post race experiences with your fellow paddlers.
We look forward to seeing you for the event – The Bray Lake Team
