We invite you to join us for two weeks of Yoga, sunshine and relaxation on the island of Cuba, one of the most culturally rich destinations in the Caribbean. A land of white sandy beaches, vintage cars, mojitos and open and honest people.
We will be staying at the all-inclusive’ Sol Rio de Luna y Mares resort’, situated in the Bahia de Naranjo natural park on Cuba’s north-east coast. The resort overlooks Playa Esmeralda, one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba.
Clean and comfortable single or twin/double rooms are available, simply furnished with private balcony or terrace, with all facilities .You will be allocated a room in either the Luna or Mares section of the hotel. You will be able to use the facilities of both.
The resort has eight restaurants, offering International buffet and al la carte services including French, Mediterranean, Mexican and Italian cuisine. Drinks are included too, in the various bars situated around the resort.
Yoga provides the main focus of our holiday. On the white sand beach of Playa Esmeralda we will explore postures, relaxation, breathing practises and guided meditations.
Swimming provides a refreshing accompaniment to our Yoga practice. There are two large pools with swim up bars.
The hotel offers a large variety of activities during the day and excellent evening entertainment including live music and shows, with music and dance on the beach at night. The spa centre offers a range of different treatments and massages (not included in the All Inclusive package).
The local town of Guardalavaca is a horse and cart ride away, with a daily flea market and a fabulous beach with pristine white sand.
Holguin, Cuba’s fourth largest city, is around an hour away and is full of authentic, provincial charm, lovingly restored Chevys [like Havana],bicycle taxis, elegant plazas and the 458 step climb to the top of’ Loma de la Cruz,’ with it’s cross and spectacular views.
January is Cuba’s coldest month, but a very pleasant high of 26 degrees Centigrade during the day and a low of 17 degrees at night. The sea temperature in January is a very warm 27 degrees.
